In brief

Ottawa : haïku capital of Canada

Did you know that Ottawa is the haiku capital of Canada? Éditions David actually publishes an entire collection of these poems inspired by Japanese tradition. According to conventions, haiku are composed of three verses of five, seven and five syllables respectively. They usually deal with themes such as nature, seasons or everyday life. The collection now includes some sixty titles, including the first ever international anthology, Haïkus sans frontières.
